IWP Foundation Repair Named 2026 Residential Project of the Year

IWP Foundation Repair was recently recognized by ECP with the 2026 Residential Project of the Year for our work on a custom waterfront home in northwest Wichita.

While many of our projects involve stabilizing existing structures, this project gave our team the opportunity to provide foundation support from the ground up – literally.

Building on a Strong Foundation

Located along the waterfront in one of northwest Wichita’s growing residential developments, the custom home presented unique soil and site conditions that required additional foundation support.

Before the home’s footing was poured, our team installed 93 new-construction helical piers designed to transfer the structure’s loads to suitable bearing soils below. The project included two different sizes of helical piles, with each installed according to the specific requirements established by the project engineer.

Having previously completed work throughout the development gave our team valuable familiarity with the area, but this home still presented its own set of challenges.

Precision From One Pier to the Next

This wasn’t a project where every pier could simply be installed the same way.

Different areas of the home carried different structural loads, meaning installation requirements changed throughout the foundation. Our crew continuously worked from the engineering plans and load calculations to verify the required depth, torque and capacity for each location.

At the same time, construction continued around us. Multiple trades were working on the home, space was limited, and the waterfront location created additional site considerations.

Keeping everything moving required constant coordination between IWP, the builder and the other contractors on site. Our crew even utilized weekends when necessary to keep the foundation work moving with the overall construction schedule.

Recognition for the Job Done Right

Foundation work isn’t always about repairing a problem after it happens. Projects like this show the value of planning for the conditions beneath a structure before construction ever gets above ground.

For our team, receiving ECP’s 2026 Residential Project of the Year recognition is a reflection of the precision, coordination and experience that went into every stage of this installation.

We’re proud of the crew behind the work and grateful to ECP for recognizing the project.

Congratulations to the IWP team who brought this project together, and thank you to ECP for recognizing their work as the 2026 Residential Project of the Year.
