A Project That Required More Than a Standard Repair
What made this project stand out wasn’t simply its size. Our crews were working inside an active residential building, which meant every phase had to account for residents, building access and security.
Once work began, another challenged emerged; significantly more utilities were discovered beneath the slab than had originally been identified. Instead of allowing those conditions to derail the project, our team worked around the obstructions and adjusted installation locations in the field while maintaining the overall repair plan.
The complete repair included 29 interior slab piers and polyurethane injection across approximately 1,600 square feet of settled slab. Throughout the polyurethane portion of the project, elevations were continually monitored to achieve a controlled and consistent lift.
Recognition for the Team Behind the Work
Receiving ECP’s PolyPier Project of the Year award is something we’re proud of, but especially proud of the work behind it.
Projects like Vermont Towers require more than the right products. They require communication, problem-solving and a crew that can adapt when conditions in the field don’t look exactly like they did on paper.
The result was a stabilized portion of the building while protecting existing utilities, maintaining resident access and allowing normal building operations to continue throughout the project.
Congratulations to the IWP team who brought this project together, and thank you to ECP for recognizing their work as the 2026 PolyPier Project of the Year.
